Guidelines for Adding and Editing Documents
Overview
This site is intended for the hobbyist beekeeper. Thusly, please keep these guidelines for content in mind, recommendations should focus on equipment and processes which provide the new beekeeper with:
- Methods which are generally accepted as "proven",
- The best ability to find a mentor, and
- The best ability to purchase equipment at a reasonable price.
Sideliner & commercial beekeepers may find this too entry-level, and that is ok: This site was not intended to meet their needs.
When recommendations are provided, justifications must also be supplied for the recommendations. Additionally, the author should note why other approaches / equipment may be useful.
This site is intended to follow treatment-based beekeeping. Once the beekeeper gets more experience, they may choose to follow treatment-free approaches; however that is not an approach encouraged by this site.

This site is based on PmWiki, a system much like the technology used for Wikipedia. The instructions for editing these documents is at the PmWiki site (noted below).
